Seydina Ndiaye, a research professor in artificial intelligence at the Virtual University of Senegal, is one of 38 experts selected by the UN to form a think tank on artificial intelligence. The group met for the first time in October 2023, with specific goals and a timetable. The expert believes that AI is ripe to help solve some of the major problems facing the African continent : agricultural exploitation and yield, water management, as well as in the health sector to make up for staff shortages and make progress in data management. The continent's youth may also prove to be an asset.
