Biographie

Architect, born in Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná in 1982. In his 40 years as an architect, he has worked in several cities around the world. In Curitiba, he has worked at Institute for Research and Urban Planning since 1979 where he was designated president from 1994-1996. In 1999 Mauro was advisor for Ministry of Sport and Tourism. He has participated in the development of structuring and iconic projects for the city of Curitiba. He has also worked in national and international scenarios, as technical consultant for Foz do Iguaçu and Brasilia, Luanda in Angola, Choloma in Honduras and in Dominican Republic. Currently at IPPUC, he is involved in several projects related to transport and mobility, works with the recovery of the city center and coordinates the Climate Risk Management Project – Bairro Novo do Caximba (PGRC- Bairro Novo do Caximba), a socio-environmental intervention project on the banks of Barigui River in Curitiba.
