 Coordinated by Expertise France with the AFD, and in partnership with the European Union’s D4D Hub, the Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Futures Conference aimed at bringing together top policy leaders, distinguished researchers, prominent figures from the corporate and startup sectors across Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia.

It was designed to serve as a crucible for international dialogue, creating a shared understanding of the AI for Development landscape, exploring collaborative opportunities, and addressing the multifaceted challenges posed by AI technologies. 

Over the past few months, Expertise France carried out interviews with a panel of AI experts from different countries to develop a concept note highlighting key challenges, defining the most relevant pillars of intervention and exploring potential partnerships on this topic. It resulted in the production of an executive memo.
